What do a yacht club, data center, hospital, restaurant and church have in common? Current projects for Canton, Mass.-based Timberline Construction Corp.

These Massachusetts renovations are some of the projects that Timberline Construction Corp. is currently responsible for. Timberline is a growing privately owned general contracting company with a diverse portfolio throughout the northeast. Though projects include new construction, the majority of Timberline's work has focused on renovation work and many of which have aggressive schedules. Timberline's versatility and ability to self-perform select trades provides additional in-house budget and schedule controls particularly useful for fast-track work. Timberline's teams are accustomed to the fast-track turnaround of retail and restaurant renovations. A delay of a few days can mean a significant loss of revenue for the client, the team's ability and focus on meeting or beating aggressive schedules for ground-up or retail fit-up projects, protects clients' budgets and continues to build relationships. Currently three Starbucks Coffee Co. fast-track renovations are being managed by Timberline's teams. Starbucks is a repeat client relationship with over 50 Starbucks projects throughout New England. Timberline is also currently working on a Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant and an Infiniti Auto Dealership retail facility renovation in Norwood, Mass. The supermarket sector also has ongoing renovation needs to respond to consumer demand and competition. Timberline's current supermarket workload includes renovations for one Hannaford Supermarket, two Stop & Shop Supermarkets and a Restaurant Depot. The team has also performed renovations for Price Chopper and Big Y and ground-up projects for both Stop & Shop and Hannaford Supermarkets. Data Centers and Institutional work often includes sensitive and complex scopes, particularly while in use. Timberline has completed data center renovations for Verizon Wireless and Access Northeast and is currently working on project at a Cambridge research institution. The Forsyth Institute renovation and equipment upgrade to an existing data center room is underway on a tight urban site at the occupied facility. Timberline is also currently working on renovations to radiology rooms at Worcester, Mass. healthcare institution, UMass Memorial Medical Center. In the hospitality sector renovation projects have included Sea Mist Resort project in Mashpee, Mass. and most recently at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Marblehead, Mass. The complex yacht club project replaced a 75 year old pool with a new state-of-the-art Olympic-sized in-ground pool. Unlike many of Timberline's general contracting competitors, the company also has a Wireless Construction division which specializes in new construction, renovations, upgrades and maintenance for wireless carriers or government clients' communication needs. These projects include a new tower construction on a remote mountain-top location with helicopter only access and tower locations; as well as rooftop, church steeple, smoke stack or water tank installations. Recently a wireless carrier client, T-Mobile, utilized Timberline's services for a church steeple renovation and antenna installation project in Cape Cod. Timberline Construction Corp. is a full-service general contractor serving clients nationally with a current project portfolio throughout the northeast. In 2002 Steven Kelly acquired a small firm focused on telecommunications construction, since then Kelly has developed the company into a financially stable nearly $30 million firm with strong bonding and insurance capabilities. Timberline has expanded to about 80 employees and has a diverse portfolio of projects in healthcare, academic, hospitality, residential, retail, restaurant, supermarket, corporate, data center, and wireless sectors. The company launched a new website this year to better communicate and display their broad spectrum of qualifications. Timberline is a relationship driven contractor offering clients valuable versatility, such as self-performance capabilities for select trades.
