Vantage Builders completes renovation for Seacoast Capital Managers at 55 Ferncroft Rd. - owned by US-1 Ventures

Danvers, MA Vantage Builders, Inc. completed the renovation of Seacoast Capital Managers’ east coast headquarters, at 55 Ferncroft Rd.

The 4,783 s/f project included both a complete refresh of the design and a reconfiguration of the office to better utilize the space. After a competitive bid process, Vantage was hired by Seacoast Capital and building ownership, US-1 Ventures. Seacoast Capital is a private equity investment firm.

“Seacoast Capital’s new office better reflects the firm’s success and vitality,” said Ryan LaVangie, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Vantage Builders. “And the new layout will help to boost collaboration and the efficiency of the busy staff. Renovating an active office space always presents challenges but working closely with Seacoast, ownership and the architects, we were able to successfully complete the project.”

Vantage followed designs by architects Miika Ebbrell Design, which initially called for selective internal demolition of several rooms. An existing conference room was split up to create new offices to support Seacoast’s business. Vantage built a new 14-person conference room, a copy supply room with more efficient layout, 12 offices and an electrical/data room.

Significant electrical and data work was done during the project. All the outlets in the offices were replaced with duplex outlets with USB ports to better enable the Seacoast Capital team to more easily charge and utilize their smart phones, tablets and other devices. Due to the age of the building, Vantage replaced a number of electrical components to ensure that the space was up to code.

Strategic Workspaces furnished the space including seating, conference room furniture, and workstations.  Colliers International brokered the leasing transaction.

An emphasis was put on improving the office’s overall aesthetic. Glass transoms and custom fronts were added to several offices. New lighting and paint throughout create a more welcoming atmosphere, while new chair rails, crown molding, picture frame molding, and baseboards create a uniform design that is both classic and modern. A variety of flooring was installed in the office – carpet tile in the conference room and offices, luxury vinyl tiling (LVT) in the reception area and corridors, and vinyl composition tiling (VCT) in the copy supply and data/electrical rooms – enabling the use of different patterns and textures.
