Inogen leases 6,000 s/f office at
500 Cummings Center, Beverly, MA

Beverly, MA Global medtech manufacturer Inogen expanded to Massachusetts with a 6,000 s/f office at 500 Cummings Center.

Founded in 2001, Inogen develops, manufactures, and markets portable oxygen technology for patients with chronic respiratory conditions. The firm’s devices are designed to be lightweight and user-friendly, and to offer increased freedom, convenience, and cost-efficiency over traditional oxygen delivery systems.

In addition to the new East Coast office, Inogen has operational hubs in California and the Netherlands. The company currently distributes in 59 countries.

“This is a great example of when smart business strategy and convenience align,” said Cummings vice president - Beverly division Stephanie Aitchison. “Beverly has a robust medtech ecosystem that makes it an ideal site for Inogen.”

Inogen holds 31 U.S. patents for system design and assembly. The company announced in December its receipt of FDA clearance for the domestic distribution of a new lung clearance device for use at home.

Cummings Properties senior account manager Mary Carroll worked with Christian Vallis, senior associate at CBRE, and CBRE’s San Diego team on the lease. “Christian and the CBRE team were great partners on this deal,” said Aitchison, “and we’re delighted to welcome Inogen to campus in one of our most sought-after locations.”

According to Aitchison, 500 Cummings Center is an energy-efficient class A building overlooking Shoe Pond. Constructed in 2003, the interior features numerous upscale finishes and there is ample surface and covered parking.
