Kerri Burke

Canton, MA Barsh and Cohen, P.C., a boutique law firm that has been serving the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for legal services for over 75 years, has hired Kerri Burke as of counsel. Burke’s addition to the firm is set to expand capabilities in both commercial and residential real estate and construction law.

With over 20 years of experience, Burke comes with a comprehensive background of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including buyer and seller representation, title insurance, closings, and purchase and sale agreements, as well as representing lenders in closing commercial real estate, fix and flip deals, and construction loans. With Burke’s expertise, she will strengthen and expand Barsh and Cohen, P.C.’s services for individuals and entities in contract review and all aspects of the construction law phase.

“Kerri brings a rare blend of deep legal knowledge and real-world experience in real estate and construction,” said Neil Cohen, president of Barsh and Cohen, P.C. “Her strategic thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to client service will be a significant asset to our growing firm and to the clients we serve.”

Burke joins Barsh and Cohen from her solo practice, where she built a client-focused firm serving individuals, investors, and businesses throughout Massachusetts. Her earlier experience at Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP and Colby Law Office, P.C. deepened her expertise in construction law, contract drafting, mechanics’ liens, bid protests, and insurance coverage.

Her legal career is also informed by over a decade in the construction industry, as a partner of 78 Development Group where she has managed dozens of residential rehabilitation and new construction projects as well as having previously worked for over ten years as an office administrator at F.M. Sullivan Construction Co., Inc., where she managed contract negotiations and project coordination.

Barsh holds a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Stonehill College.

“My approach has always been to provide clear, practical guidance rooted in a deep understanding of both the legal landscape and the business goals of my clients,” said Burke. “Barsh and Cohen has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional service, and I look forward to contributing to that standard while continuing to help clients navigate their most important transactions and challenges.”

Kerri’s addition reflects Barsh and Cohen’s continued growth and dedication to providing full-service legal support for clients navigating real estate, business, and construction challenges.
