Bufftree Building Co. completes $1m remodeling of supermarket

The newest location in the Donelan's Supermarkets family of Massachusetts stores recently celebrated a grand opening to show off its new look. The $1 million remodeling project by Bufftree Building Company included interior renovations and an expansion to the 20,000 s/f store on Commonwealth Rd. In light of the need to conserve energy, the upgrade to the existing mechanical system includes an energy recycler that reduces the demand on the HVAC units by 80% by pre-conditioning the outside air. This project marks the first partnership between Donelan's Supermarkets and Bufftree. Thanks to Bufftree's extensive experience in the food industry, Donelan's was able to remain open during the seven-month construction schedule without inconveniencing its customers. Since the founding of Donelan's Supermarkets in 1948, the company has continually updated and remodeled its stores. In addition to Wayland, Donelan's operates locations in Littleton, Acton, Lincoln, Groton and Pepperell. Bufftree Building has an extensive inventory of completed and in-progress construction projects in New England.
