Project Manager
BW Kennedy & Co.

What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront? The growth of life sciences and advanced manufacturing is reshaping the AEC industry, emphasizing sustainability, adaptability, and efficiency. Facilities must support evolving research and production while remaining flexible for future needs. BW Kennedy & Co. stays ahead through cutting-edge design-build methods, strategic partnerships, and a strong subcontractor network. By adapting to new technologies, regulations, and sustainability demands, we deliver high-performing projects that exceed client expectations and set new industry standards.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? My greatest inspiration comes from the talented professionals at BW Kennedy & Co., as well as our dedicated subcontractors and clients. Their commitment to excellence and teamwork has shaped my career. My advice to women in the AEC industry: seek mentors, build a strong network, and stay curious. The industry is always evolving, and learning from experienced professionals accelerates growth. Challenges are opportunities to refine skills and make an impact. By embracing collaboration and adaptability, you can build a successful and fulfilling career.

What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? I led the $22 million Braskem Renewable Innovation Center project in Lexington, MA – a 35,000 s/f design-build life science facility. Working within an occupied four-building campus, we navigated complex infrastructure upgrades, fire separation barriers, and tight scheduling. Early office occupancy was achieved through strong collaboration and open communication with Braskem. Delivering a high-quality, efficient space supporting renewable materials innovation was rewarding, culminating in a successful 2024 grand opening.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? Playing and watching sports, spending time with my friends and listening to music.

Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know? A fun fact about me is that in college I traveled to Spain to play basketball.
